Hi, I’m Krystina Gerke from Tampa Bay, Florida, an experienced small business owner turned Software Engineer. For the last 8 years, I have been selling products through my own e-commerce store. Being an owner taught me immensely about troubleshooting and working independently. Through that experience, I developed a love for coding and problem solving. Tech is my passion, and I’m looking forward to a full-time position to pour all of my passion and drive into while continuing my professional development.
I have my bachelors degree Communication Sciences, and Disorders. I worked in the field for a while before starting my own successful business. I started coding my own website on the Shopify platform, and after years of finding myself loving the days that I worked on my website the most, I decided to take the plunge to transition into web development full time, and started the CareerFoundry fullstack program in May of 2021.
When I'm not working, I like to spend time with my family, always continuing to learn and improve myself, work on my photography, cook holistic meals, or sew. I'm an avid listener to long and in depth fiction books on audiobooks.
